The Winners of LIMA 2018

Every year LIMA artists blow audiences away with their moving, heartfelt and energetic melodies. Their heavenly melodies open the gates to the word of God. Here just a few of this year’s golden winners.

Testimony Jaga – Song of the Year

Only last year Testimony was just the new kid on the block. Since then he has achieved worldwide fame. The gospel star has said that he owes his success to the man of God, Pastor Chris. His Afro-pop dance track Jehovah has been blasting the airwaves, making it both a local and international hit. The artist, who was recently dubbed the gospel ‘King of the Streets‘ is famous for making music for the street youth of Lagos as well as at the world at large.

Sinach- Best Female Vocalist

It’s no doubt that Sinach is LMAM’s long-time favorite. The Loveworld vocalist has once again taken home the gold. Though Sinach is now the queen of gospel, the artist was once singing in small prayer groups. She now fills stadiums all over the world. Her song ‘I know who I am’ beautifully celebrates identity and belief in God.

UR Flames’ – Theme Song of The Year

The boyband’s song ‘Something to Shout About’ was a hit at the recent IPPC. For a whole week, the Loveworld Convocation Arena, including Pastor Chris himself, was dancing from this awesome melody. The duo is no strangers to success. UR Flames have also won awards for the best music video and have performed around the world to their millions of fans.

CSO- Worship Song and Song of the Year

The song ‘Holy Spirit’ won Worship Song and Song of the year. CSO, also known as Sharon Oyakhilome is many things. Like her father, she is a devoted minister of the Gospel. She is also a singer, songwriter, bandleader, as well as a leader of Christ Embassy London. According to the artist, the song was written about the “most important person here on earth, the Holy Spirit.” The gospel starlet said that when she wrote the song she was “praying and fellowshipping with Him, He gave me the lyrics and the melody.” The beautiful music video was shot in breathtaking Switzerland.

There were certainly many more hit songs that evening that celebrated LMAM’s year of music. Just some of them include the first ever quintuple tie in Best Male Vocalist Category; Isaiah Samson, Martin PK, Eben, Obi Shine and Chris Shalom celebrated for exceptional vocals, Lewis, Singer of Hit Track and Best New Act winner, with the song Bulletproof and the UK Mass Choir who won Host Choir of the Year for UK Leaders’ & Partners’.
