Christmas at the Inner City Mission

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome advises us to give a gift that keeps on giving at Christmas time. Take part in the ‘Send Portions at Christmas campaign’ for the Inner-City Mission for Kids and give joy and hope to thousands of children. These indigent children live in inner-city communities, orphanages, refugee camps, IDP camps, children’s hospitals, and other child care institutions. Many of these children would be forgotten but for your donation. We put the ‘merry’ into Christmas. With your sponsorship, each child will receive a nutritious and delicious meal with a gift. You can donate online here or through KingsPay.

At this time of year, we remember the poor:” Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.” (Psalms 41:1) There are many fundraising partners who have collaborated with the Inner-City Mission. Many business organizations sponsored programs taking their business to the next level. Christmas will be better for five million children with continued support.

Christmas cheer for the Inner City Mission School

The children of the Inner-City Mission receive uniforms and utensils for learning in five centers. With a planned expansion to eight centers, more children will be reached than before. This year 100,000 children had continual education despite insurgency.

This year 51 million meals were given to the destitute and hungry.  With the aim of giving 100 million next year. Consider buying gifts for family and friends at the brand shop. Not only will they receive a top-quality present they will also give a child a meal.

With the continued financial support we aim to recruit one million volunteers worldwide. Then the ICM4kids can deliver 100 million meals and can expand to an astounding 50 learning centers.

The Inner-City Mission is ” dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by delivering a sustainable solution to the problem of urban and rural child poverty. We work to give the life of every indigent child a meaning; we want them to forget that they were ever poor and give them hope and a future.” This is a global initiative under the guidance of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

The uplifting work of the Inner City Mission

Look at the work done by LoveWorld Central Church Manchester in spreading the Christmas cheer in collaboration with the Inner-City Mission for Children. “Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. (Nehemiah 8:10) They visited the Cheetwood Primary School to spread the Christmas Cheer! You are the reason for the season, look at the joy on the faces of everyone.

In the thanksgiving season, joy and gratitude to God overflows in our hearts, for indeed the exploits of the Inner-city Mission in 2019 made that of 2018 look like ‘child’s play.’ There have been countless blessings everyone is grateful for.  We give thanks for the guidance and prophecies of our dear Man of God Pastor Chris Oyakhilome that shone in our work this year.

A prayer for the future:-“We bless the name of the Lord For the lives of over 3.6 million beneficiaries whose lives were impacted through our lifesaving interventions. We bless the name of the Lord For the health, strength, and safety of staff members and beneficiaries. We bless the name of the Lord For eternal relevance and favor in the work of the Lord. We bless the name of the Lord For an even more productive 2020. We bless the name of the Lord! Glory to God.”

Giving according to the values of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Through the values stated thus, “We must take actions that bring the deprived, excluded and vulnerable children in the inner cities into a position that makes them drivers of their own change ” the Inner-City Mission works tirelessly. The orphaned and vulnerable children have “sustainable and participatory interventions.” Not just for them but also “their families or households, schools and orphanages or related institutions.” These are all delivered with loving care ” wrapped up in the Word of God.”

Christmas party brings tidings of comfort and joy

At Christmas, the Inner-City Mission will be working hard to provide that extra cheer. There are many reasons to give generously to this worthy charity. Maybe you can sponsor a Christmas party to bring joy to many children. Look at their website for different ways in which to be involved and spread some heavenly joy.
