Pastor Chris Oyakhilome explained in the ‘Healing to the Nations’ edition this month, “Faith is the victory that overcomes the world! There’s no battle left for any child of God; every battle has been fought and won by Jesus. All He expects today is for us to live in the realm of the finished works by maintaining the victory that HE obtained for us through His death, burial, and resurrection.”
He continued by saying: “ As we consistently take our stand in faith against sickness, disease, poverty, death, and every manipulation of the enemy, we are maintaining our victory in Christ Jesus. You must completely reject anything that hurts or binds because you’ve been delivered from all oppression of the enemy. Our new life in Christ is a super-life; it’s a daily expression of victorious and triumphant living!”
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4)
He Wants You in Health
This idea of faith being the victory ties into today’s Rhapsody of Realities: ‘He wants you in Health’.
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” (3 John 1:2)
Pastor Chris expands on this by saying that “divine healing is one of the beginning stages of a greater life. Healing is wonderful, but there’s a greater life than healing. God doesn’t want you to live in the realm of getting healed from one sickness or the other every now and then. He wants you to come to a place of victory, where you understand divine health, which is greater than divine healing”.
As the above verse says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health….”, It doesn’t say, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be healed.” Pastor Chris explains that “He wants you in health. God’s plan for you is divine health! He doesn’t want you suffering from headaches, colds, and fevers; there should be no diabetes, stomach trouble, or any such thing with you. Grasp this truth and live by it. If you experience any symptoms in your body, don’t panic. Use the Word! Keep yourself in health with God’s Word; it’s medicine”.
If you’ve been sick regularly, say to yourself, “I’ll never be sick another day in my life, because the Word of God guarantees my divine health”
Proverbs 4:22, referring to God’s Word, says, “For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” “Discipline your body to comply always with God’s Word. Transcend the level of needing healing, to living every day in divine health. You’re a new creature in Christ, with the divine life, the very life of God. How could you have that life and be subject to the elements? Walking in divine health is God’s best for you”.
“A true Christian doesn’t fail in life, he is an all-around success,” according to our Man of God, “when you come to that level where faith becomes your conscious lifestyle, you’ll never have cause to despair, or be despondent in your life.”
