Daily Rhapsody – A Strong Desire

Today’s daily Rhapsody verse:

“When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, if I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole” (Mark 5:27-28)

Desire

Desire is a powerful force, it enables and at the same time pushes us to do things that we otherwise would dare to think about doing. We must stop for a minute in our lives and evaluate how strong a desire we have, and whether we’re using it in the correct direction. Desire can be used for good and bad targets. Ask yourself a few questions to see if you’re in the right direction:

Do you have the desire to change your economic or financial status?

How strong is your desire to fix any health or medical issues you have?

Do you possess a compelling desire to stay close to God and reach a higher level in your faith?

Do you have the inner strength to desire and experience the supernatural; in your life, in your ministry, your academics, and your business or career?

We must grow with God

In order to succeed and to the best we can with the life the Lord provided us, we must try our best. Growth, especially spiritual growth, is hard work. In order to make progress, we must do right in the eyes of God. Only then will Christ give us success upon success. Be brave, overcome your fears and unwanted desires, and focus on your desire to grow closer to Jesus Christ.

Growth in every area of your life requires real work. The principles may be basic and simple, yet they aren’t negotiable. You need desire for your target, it needs to be strong and compelling so that you have some emotional tool to latch on to when things get tough. Let your desire be strong enough to compel you to take the right and necessary actions.
