#CommunitySunday – Believers’ LoveWorld (BLW) Medical Corps

The BLW Medical Corps is a global Christian medical outreach program committed to providing medical care, relief assistance and sustainable health care solutions in regions of crisis and to communities in dire need. The organization is an independent NGO aimed at helping people and bettering the world through the word of God. The large scale philanthropist, Pastor Christ, is not only a man of God but one that believes charity and contributing to the community is a vital part of life. For the Reverent, a Christian’s mission in life is to serve God’s will, and thus, just as Jesus did in his time, the Pastor makes helping the needy a central part of his life.

The Volunteer Medical Corps (VMC) is a global Christian medical outreach. Established as a network of Christian health workers, para-medics and students in every nation, and are committed to providing medical care, relief assistance, and sustainable health care solutions in regions of crisis and to communities in dire need. It was established as a network of Christian health workers, paramedics and students across the globe. Volunteers and workers are admitted providing their goal is to enhance health, and are committed to the mission of providing humanitarian assistance to communities and persons in need.

The medical corps provides appropriate relief materials, medical assistance and health education to displaced populations including refugees and internally displaced persons in regions affected by natural or man-made disasters. In addition, health education and man power development training is provided to local health workers in underserved communities.

The vision of the organization is to have global medical outreaches geared towards the provision of prompt medical services in regions of crisis and/or dire need. The mission, is to provide the best and suitable medical aid to communities and persons in need. With over 65.6 million forcibly displaced people worldwide and over 22.5 million refugees, there is a dire need for the work the BLW medical Corps provides. All this is thanks to the amazing philanthropic help from Pastor Chris. With his guidance it was decided to allocate 90% of the public donations directly towards the projects the organization works on.

It is important to remember that although Chris Oyakhilome ministers for the large scale Evangelical Chris Embassy Church, this organization is unaffiliated and was created for the sole purpose of helping the needy. There is no need to be a part of the church or even a specific denomination to donate or volunteer in the organization. All one needs is to believe in Christian values that we as children of God have a responsibility to help and provide relief for the sick and poor.

To become a member of the Volunteer Medical Corps there is no need to be a member of the Believers’ LoveWorld Inc. It is open to anyone who has the passion and desire to help those in need providing they’re willing to abide by the Christian principles which guide the organization.

Volunteers from around the world

In many nations around the world people get hurt or even killed on a daily basis; as a result of conflict, political instability, natural disasters, terrorism, and even poverty and hunger. It was reported in 2016 that over 130 million people on the face of the earth were in need of humanitarian assistance. This is where the BLW Medical Corps comes in.

Take for example Deborah Smith, a registered nurse from the US. She’s been practicing for 35 years and a proud member of the Volunteer Medical Corps. She testifies that it is an absolute delight to do what she does because, according to her, she is living her dream. She’s changing lives and helping people.

The Corps is on the ground providing help to those affected by disasters. Giving aid to refugees and the internally displaced, in need of health care and relief. Caring for the destitute and providing medical care to the internally displaced. As well as ministering to the sick in hospitals.

Dr. Afolabi Oshinowo, spoke about the Ebola outbreak in Monrovia, Liberia: “We were there when people died from a deadly viral outbreak, and loved ones were lost in their communities every day. So we knew we just needed to take action”.

And so, due to these dire circumstances the BLW Medical Corps went all out. In every terrain, in every region, in all seasons. The reach is now gone to 6 continents, over 60 countries, and the organization is still spreading! All this thanks to Dr. Chris who spends large parts of his fortune and time dedicating it to this organization. He truly believes that it is impossible to preach the word of God without putting those words into action.

The volunteer Medical Core has extended healing and medical help to the sick, weary, and despondent people all around the globe. All over the world you can collaborate with the organization by donating $3 a month and/or sign up as a volunteer with the Volunteer Medical Corps. If you’re a Christian medic or paramedic your place is with this organization.
