This initiative is a long-term mentorship program that serves the youthful generation, encouraging and pushing them towards being greater leaders in the future as well as public workers that can play the largest part in transforming the public sector across African countries. The Public Service and Governance Boot Camp 1.0 was made up of specialized mentorship classes, breakout sessions, and group research and presentations. In addition, there were several recreational activities for the group to connect over such as a tour of the Presidential Library, wildlife park tour, bonfire, and a spiritual ending to the weekend at the Sunday Service of Christ Embassy Abeokuta Ministry Center.

Our own man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome received well-honored appreciation from African Statesman and former President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (GCFR). Pastor Chris has impressed African leaders with his investment in the young generation and the unending work coming forth from the many partnering organizations such as Future African Leaders and InnerCity Mission. The former Nigerian President described the importance of proper education and how all success of a human and the resources each has to give stems from a quality education.

This was an incredible and encouraging event to come together over and support the future of our continent. The future is BRIGHT for young Africans and we thank God for the endless opportunities He will provide.
